Snow Guard Layout Request Form

Use this form to receive a Job Specific Recommendation for your snow retention project. Your recommended layout for a snow guard system will be based on the information provided. We request that you provide us with the Ground Snow Load (Pg) for the project and other roof information listed. If you do not have the ground snow load we will try to estimate to the best of our ability. We cannot estimate areas that are designated as CS (Case Studies), typically mountainous areas. If we do have a Ground Snow Load for a CS area, we will use it as an estimate but it is up to us to verify all information used in our calculations.

Some of the information needed for a Recommended Layout:

• Length along the eave
• Distance from the eave to the peak (rafter length)
• Number of roofing squares - generally only needed for pad-style snow guards.
• Roof pitch (or slope)
• Ground snow load (Pg) - GroundSnowByZip.com has snow loads for may areas in the US.

Drifing or Icing Conditions - if drifting or icing have been experienced on this roof or is expected, this must be considered for the recommended layout.
