Calculating Pad Style Snow Guard Layout 3 of 3 [1-2-3]
Pad Snow Guard Spacing Chart for Slate, Tile and Shingle Roofs
Use this chart to calculate snow guard quantities per square for pad style snow guards
for slate, tile or shingle roofs. The information on this page is from page 23 of our Snow Guard Binder.
We don't send out binders anymore as all of the information is on our Website and can be updated much
more quickly and efficiently.
|
The three row pattern (pictured right) should be installed along
all eaves. Quantities per square (chart above) should be installed above the
three row pattern along eave over the entire roof surface to within 10 feet of
the ridge.
|
|
| To estimate quantities, multiply the above "quantity per
square" by the number of squares of roof area. This quantity does account
for the 3 row pattern along the eave. The quantity per square is based on a 300 lb.holding capability
(includes 2x+ safety margin) per snow guard. Any questions call Alpine Snow Guards at 1-888-766-4273
